This is a beautiful, small ring with beautifully-saturated, small stones. And, that is my only complaint about this ring. Russian Chrome Diopside (RCD), as I understand it so far, is an inexpensive gemstone at this point in its history (this mine discovered in 1987 in Yakutia, Eastern Siberia, where most of Russia's diamonds are also found) and is half the age of Tanzanite (discovered 1967). I just wish the stones in this ring had been twice the size, maybe two carats total, in a five-stone setting. Don't get me wrong - this is a gorgeous ring and I'm keeping it. I just think it needed more carat weight since RCD is still so inexpensive and it would have been a good PR move for Miss Wieck because I believe RCD is going the way of Tanzanite as soon as the Russians realize folks are willing to pay for RCD set in gold and enhanced by SI1, G-H diamonds.

This dioside is the very best I've seen in many years and I'm a collector from waaaaaay back. The color just pops. Too bad the stones weren't bigger, but I'm not complaining. Keep the quality coming. Great job.

I received my ring this afternoon and it is just beautiful. The stones are perfectly matched and the ring is very comfortable. I plan to wear it as an alternate wedding band.
