I adore this ring. Naturally, I put it on as soon as it arrived and worn it around all day. I even wore it with a VW bracelet for my weekly shopping trip to Walmart . I was dressed in sneakers, yoga pants and a t-shirt! Absolute earrings, too. It is so comfortable, I forgot I had it on. I ordered my regular ring finger size, and it fit great. It did not turn around like some rings do with larger, heavy stones. Because of the checkerboard cut and open setting, it looks translucent and sparkly, not like you usually think of onyx as opaque. It looks more like a huge black diamond. I don't think anyone would guess it is onyx. This is a special one. I say "Get it!". I know I'm glad I did. It's on 2 flex pays, too.

The onyx stone in the ring is too big for the band. I returned it. It was too heavy to set straight on my finger.

Vermeil great for white & yellow jewelry. Unsure about absolute sparkle. Uniqueness of ring made absolutes not so important. Haven't taken off since received.Tapers down-very comfortable, doesn't spin! Want to purchase 1 for index finger & 1 in same size i just got to tuck away in case something happens to this years from now then I will have one long after they are gone.Love it!!

I ordered the silver. It's a large wonderful facet Onyx. I really like the design. Would have given a 5, but the absolutes don't have much fire to them. Also very comfortable.
