Based on the other comments, I must have gotten one that was inferior since I really cannot say anything good and it went back immediately. I have lapis in gold in a ring and bracelet and was hopeful that this necklace could be worn with them. Unfortunately, compared to mine, this lapis could only be considered very poor quality - very dull and grayish w/no gold flecks. I''m very disappointed since I buy a lot of Jay''s items and generally am pleased.

As rocks are not generally identical, especially ones like lapis,no matter what the color variations may be, and will be, to a certain extent, the design is just brilliant.I love mine. If I wanted jewelry with no character, I''d go to plastics/synthetics.This piece FEELS good.Good job and thank you, Mr King.

I''ve ordered 3 of these in the past yr. All 3 have been very different in color variation! 1 I sent back because a stone was strung backwards, another was sent back because the lapis was very "muddy" with almost green flecks instead of the beautiful gold. If you can get one that''s a pretty blue w/gold flecks & good workmanship than it''s worth the sale price!
