This Turquoise and Ruby Sterling Silver Ornate Pendant was inspired by the rich colors of Thailand. A square stabilized turquoise (approx. 21x21mm) is prong-set atop the open center of a marquise-shaped sterling silver pendant. Round pavé-set rubies (approx. 2 to 3mm=1.41ct) and flower-shaped metalwork capture the elegance of Thai artistry.

But stabilizing turquoise helps preserve the stone's normal color. Natural, mined turquoise nuggets are heated at a very low temperature for about a week, slowly drawing out moisture without damaging the texture. The stones are then placed into acrylic or polymer chemicals to replace water molecules. This stabilizes the stone and keeps its beauty and value intact.

A Real Bargain / Candy, CO6/16/2008 Got this today, I can''t take it off. The rubies are reddish-pink, the turquoise is a beautiful color. Ruby on the bail is quite large. This is a large pendant and worth twice the price it cost here. THANK YOU HSN...I love this pendant AND the matching ring.
BEAUTIFUL / Florian, CA5/16/2008 I own quite a few torquoise jewelry. I received this necklace today and it is beautiful. The torquoise I received just has a tiny speckle of matrix and almost the color of a sleeping beauty torquoise. I think the torquoise and rubies are a great match. I love the size of the pendant. The chain is a little small, but I have a substantial chain I placed it on. The bail is large and you can also wear it on a leather cord. This is going to be one of my go-to-piece of torquoise.
