This hoop is great for the look and price, and since not presented as anything but what it is, I gave it 5* It is going to be heavier than an all gold hoop, however, regardless of the hugger size. I have thin earlobes. A practical solution I use is place an ear back on the stem pushed up to the lobe before snapping earring closed. This anchors the earring and creates less pull on the lobe. But nothing replaces 14K...
