I've seen four (!) of these rings because the first one was so beautiful with hot pinks and turquoises shimmering across the MOP as it morphed from charcoal to pearl gray. But then I noticed that a third of the MOP's surface wasn't polished. It was dull and scratchy. So, because I liked the ring and dark jewelry generally, I exchanged. The second one had little color in a rather drab gray MOP. Returned. Bought another. This one was better, but still a shadow of the first - it looked like the Northern Lights but the MOP was set so it didn't take advantage of this effect and had a black line on one side of the MOP. Try again. The 4th one has a more even shimmer in the hot pinks and turqs, but still isn't the first ring. So, bottom line - you might get a good MOP and you might not... I tried and I'm sorta satisfied, I just wish the first ring hadn't been defective...

My ring looks nothing like the picture online. Not any black at all, just a silver color that blends in with the silver setting. There is a VERY slight peacock effect when you hold it in the light, but that's it. I wouldn't pay 10 bucks for it.

I"ve gotten so many compliments on this ring and I love it! It is very comfy on your hand and doesn't catch on clothing because it is so smooth. The different colors that show up black mother-of-pearl in varied lights is very beautiful as well. This is a great ring!
