Like the other reviewer - the stone looks plastic. The setting is great but as a whole not worth the price. Too bad - I really liked the style of the setting. I am returning it.

I love the design of this ring. The color of the amethyst could be richer. I realize it's simulated, but, it really looks like a cheap piece of plastic. The shank shape is fab, however the inside of the ring where the stone is set is very rough and should have been machined/smoothed out...poor workmanship. Kind of light for SS. Size of the ring is substantial, but the quality and workmanship are the reason it's very sadly being returned. I don't feel good wearing it.
