So-So / JEM, TX5/16/2008 I was disappointed with this piece. The color of the sterling is too "white", which makes it look cheap. Would be much prettier in a darker, rhodium tone. The panther itself is interesting, but looks more like a design for men''s jewelry and the rear, back leg is not designed well and just looks like an odd bit of metal attached to the body. The weight of the piece is nice, but overall it just didn''t make the cut and went back.

The workmanship is exquisite -- so many times you see animal-shaped jewelry that is less than well-designed, but this panther is just a beautiful piece of animal sculpture. And it''s quite a hefty hunk of silver, as well! Looks great with a scoopneck T-shirt or open-necked black or white shirt. It''s not small -- just the perfect size to be really noticeable and get compliments!

The superb sculpting of the panther figure is 3-dimensional, adding to the eye-catching effect, along with the ruby eye. Length at 19" is perfect. Looks great on everything, including blouses & shirts. Necklace & pendant lie perfectly on neck & chest. Too good to pass up, especially if you love animals! Many thanks, HSN!
