Ladies..don't listen to the negative reviews on this ring. If you like it, give it a try. I received it today and have been wearing it for hours now and haven't felt the side stones even touch my other fingers. I really think the fit just depends on your fingers. It's worth the chance. The stone is beautiful and the setting is stunning too. Looks like white gold. It's a wonderful, classy, gorgeous ring.

I was nervous buying this due to the negative reviews about the side prongs but I am SO glad I decided to try it! I don't have any problems. The fit is going to depend on how high your neighboring fingers come to the finger on which you are wearing the ring. While I do not have a problem I can see where others might as the prongs do stick out. I am just thrilled this works for me though as the colors of the gemstones are deep and luscious and the 7+ carat amethyst is not to be missed.

I ususally like to make up my own mind about things,but the ring was so beautiful I ordered it despite the reviews. I SHOULD HAVE LISTENED. The ring is indeed beautiful,but absolutely uncomfortable for all day wear.I'm really torn at almost 200 dollars do I keep or send back ..still on the fence,but if it had not cost so much I might have had it modified.but now.........dunno ouch again ! ouch ouch.

I am truly bummed as well, these side prongs hurt! I don't know how the design was okayed in the first place. I'm considering either returning it or taking it to a jeweler to have it rounded or sanded down if it doesn't cost too much. Otherwise, wore it for a day and got tons of compliments. Love the color!
