I actually think it''s a crocodile, not an alligator -- it has the narrow snout of a croc. But that''s OK -- the scoop is that this little guy is a fantastic piece of jewelry. As an earlier reviewer said, he''s very reminiscent of Kieselstein-Cord pieces costing far, far more -- and the quality of Sally C''s pieces is extraordinary. Beautiful detailing, rich red garnets, and you will revel in all the compliments you get on this gator...er, really a croc!

WORTH EVERY PENNY AND MORE !! The alligator will remind you of the Kieselstein-Cord alligators, and the popcorn chain will remind you of the Michael Dawkins snakeskin. But this is 100% SALLY C design, and absolutely drop-dead gorgeous !! The chain is the ideal length for me, the garnets are perfection with their little interior furnaces glowing, and the antiquing on the sterling is just right, not overdone and not underdone. Do NOT miss out on this one !!

Since I have a ridiculous amount of jewelry, I''m always looking for something unique and different. This definitely fits the bill. The silver work is great and the design is really unique. The garnets are nice and red..not the brown coloration that you sometimes get in sterling jewelry. The only reason I didn''t give it 5 stars is that I expected the amount of silver to be a bit more substantial for the price.

Whimsical yet beautiful...the shadowboxing on the chain goes perfectly with the garnets...the find myself reaching for it a lot...great with jeans and a t-shirt as well as a suit...love it with the matching earrings as well!First piece of Sally C I have not had to send back...so happy about that...

WoW, Sally, what can I say? I never saw this creative type of exotic jewelry anywhere. Chain, had tarnish on the lobster claw, I need to get some silver cleaner, the cloth did not get it all.
