I really tried to convince myself that this was a beautiful ring but could not get past the color of the mother of pearl. I ordered 2 rings and both of them had a definite yellow cast to the MOP, not at all a creamy white like all of my other MOP pieces of jewelry. The button shaped stone reminded me of costume jewelry and the garnets were dull and dark. Both rings were returned.

This is a large ring with a good weight, yet it doesn''t shout. The mother of pearl in my ring is exceptional. It has great movement and color. I find myself reaching for this ring a lot. Whenever I wear it someone grabs my hand and wants to know what the stone is. I consider this ring a winner.

I thought the mother of pearl would be nice but it has an off-color splice of metalic look in the center and ruined the look of the ring. I returned it the same day that it came. So my rating of poor means I did not like it at all.
