You cannot slide the heart off of the chain because the little beads on the chain are too large, so they block the heart and trap it onto the chain. I love the heart, it is really beautiful, but the chain is much too long. It would be wonderful if I could slide the heart off of the chain and put it onto a shorter chain.

This is a really pretty buy, but I would have loved it all the more if you could slide the heart off & wear the neck lace by itself...just a minor improvement tho.
