You might be able to see the purple color if an extremely bright light were shining on it. In average light, it looks black. The silver design around it is different than the silver design around the earrings. I like the design around the earrings better, but the stones look black on those, too. I don't recommend it if you're looking for purple jewelry.

I was looking forward to getting this enhancer, however it had many scratches all over the enhancer and had a chip missing on the left hand of the stone. Very dissappointed and had to send back.

I love Jay King's gemstones, but when I received this piece home I was disappointed.
The stone was beautiful but had a large chip on the side of one of the facets. Unfortunately, I had to send it back. I really wanted another pendant was given a refund instead.

I was looking forward to receiving this pendant and wearing it with different necklaces. Such a disapointment to receive a pendant that had a big scratch right down the middle. The amethyst is so dark it looks black. Not happy with this purchase so I sent it back. The earrings went back too.
