A dyed white cultured mabé pearl (approx. 12 to 13mm) is bezel-set atop a glittering table of round pavé-set marcasite (approx. 1.5mm). Square channel-set marcasite (approx. 1.9x1.9mm) highlights the sides. The rich red color of a bezel-set, marquise-cut garnet (approx. 5x5.25mm=.3ct) accents each flower-bud shaped shoulder.

And when you take if off, send it back to the Tower of London where the other Crown Jewels are kept. Seriously, this ring would look great on Queen Elizabeth I (not Elizabeth II) because it is so gaudy. I cannot deny its beauty, but small framed women need to be very bold to wear this. I personally don''t like my jewelry to arrive before I do.

It is very very classy (sorry prev. review..its not gaudy). If gaudy means large to you, then yes its a large ring. If you like large rings with lots of style.. and good design this ring is for you.. I love marcasite and I love Mabe'' pearls.. put the two together .. wow.!

SO Vintage!! / Beth, GA6/9/2008 I have had this ring for a couple of months now and I love it even more than when I opened the box. I have had SO MANY complements on it, almost everytime I wear it. Not usually a big fan of marcasite but I think it just adds to the "vintagey" look on this one.
