I bought this piece along with the 31" ribbon rock fetish necklace with the idea I would choose which I liked the best. Guess what?! I couldn't return either piece and I like to wear them both togther as this one sits higher on the neckline. Truly amazing. At a recent PowWow, everyone wanted both of my necklaces! They were nicer than the wares being sold there by the Native Americans attending! My necklace was perfect so I would try this one for sure!
Not Worth The Wait On Waitlist........

I was on waitlist for this necklace and couldn't wait to receive it, only to be disappointed when it did arrive. Yes, it looks nice but mine is definitely not worth the $$$$$ that I paid for it. It was lighter in weight than expected for so much gemstone and the animals were much smaller that depicted. So after all the anticipation and wait, mine is going back.Te
THREE LEGGED, THREE EYED TURTLE...
Anonymous , 4/2/2008
The fetish part of the necklace was ok. However, one leg of the turtle was broken off and jagged. There were also three black eyes on the turtle. There was also a large strange mark on the back of the turtle that destroyed the look of the piece.A friend asked what was the ugly mark on its back. The under side of the turquoise stone used for the turtle was nice and should have been used for the top side.

Moisture, skin oils and environmental factors can change the color of turquoise jewelry if left untreated. But stabilizing turquoise helps preserve the stone's normal color. Natural, mined turquoise nuggets are heated at a very low temperature for about a week, slowly drawing out moisture without damaging the texture. The stones are then placed into acrylic or polymer chemicals to replace water molecules. This stabilizes the stone and keeps its beauty and value intact.
Gemstones and pearls are sometimes treated to enhance their natural beauty. To learn more and find out about care instructions see details.
Due to the composition and natural properties of mined gemstones, the product image may show slight differences to the actual stone in color saturation, tone, hue or other gemstone characteristics such as phenomena, color banding and color matrix.
