this is a very nice pink tourmaline stone. My birth month is October so this is my birthstone along with the Opal. I love both stones. The pink tourmaline is an expensive stone and this ring makes a very nice presentation of the stone. It is a keeper.

Tourmaline is the lesser known birthstone for my birth month of October. I ordered it because I wanted a Tourmaline ring with a larger single stone rather than a cluster of chips. I knew a 1 carat stone would not be a large presence, but I was disappointed in how the ring looked in person versus how it looked on the website. The website gives the appearance of a "checkerboard" cut stone; however mine was flat and the number of prongs and their height overpowered the 1 carat stone. Back it went.

Ordered this last Friday from the web site, received it today. It looks just like the picture... a beautiful pink tourmaline set in a high 14 kt gold profile with a slim, comfortable band. Thought the gem wouldn't be as large as it appears but it is. Just what I was looking for... a keeper!
