The picture is misleading yes it is shinny but there no beading just looks like a gold box chain..Going back...

When I opened the box I couldn''t believe the sparkle on mine. I happened to buy a pendent of Everyday Gold at the same time and they were PERFECT together! I wouldn''t hesitate to buy another necklace like this. It''s worth it to me if you want something strong but dainty. I am very happy!

This gold chain is dainty but it sparkles, holds a medium sized pendant and has that 18K Italian gold look. You can actually see it on the neck from a short distance away. I have worn it for several weeks and I have ordered two more for gifts. I am very happy with my purchase.

Sparkly and Delicate

I purchased this chain for a dichroic glass pendant, which is heavy. I don''t think the chain will ever break but to be on the safe side I will wear it with a lighter pendant. The color of this 14kt gold is yellower than my other 14kt;HSN may be trying to achieve a higher karat look; it appears to be 18kt or higher. No complaints here! HSN could disclaim the hue difference, they can offer thicker and shorter versions. Sure, the price would be higher, but this chain will be well worth the splurge.
