The Iolite stones are so light that they look more like tanzanite. I just did not like that since I wanted a more rich color ring. Got it today and sent it back today.

What can I say? These colors are marvelous! This ring won out over an aquamarine with at lease twice as much gold, simply because I am completely in love with this color comination! I was expecting the stones to be about 1 mm larger, but this is still a very, very beautiful ring!

This is a very beautiful ring! The Orissa garnet is an exquisite color and the iolite sets it off nicely. We need earrings and a necklace to match, please! I agree about the 10K - the ring would look much nicer with 14K!

Even in 10k gold, this ring is striking! It''s the deep, rich colors of the center garnet, and the true to life colors of the iolite stones which sandwich it on either side. The setting is a little high, but not much more than many wedding solitaires or other similar 3-stone rings. I withheld a star primarily because even at the clearance price, I would prefer to see this in 14k. Otherwise, I''d recommend it. No surprises here, what you see is what you will get!
